The project proposes a look towards the past, specifically towards the unbuilt history of the University City and its Paraninfo, a place that was intended to be the focus of attention in the university social sphere of Madrid.

The intention is to build this memory, adapting the concept to the new social needs of the 21st century, where the protagonism passes to the users of the city. A versatile infrastructure is generated, allowing for modifications, based on patterns and social activities required by users throughout the 365 days of the year, making the Paraninfo of the University City the main social condenser of the city. An infrastructure based on the self-management of a space given to society, understood as a showcase of the social context, as the most important platform to announce that social structures and roles have changed. The empathy of this infrastructure makes it capable of transforming and appropriating the character of each and every one of us.

We understand the whole as a deprogrammed space that allows as much flexibility as possible. The structure and construction of the whole support the character of the project, promoting the protagonism of the actions and events that take place inside it
